LOREN ANDERSON PHOTOGRAPHY

Loren Anderson has been a professional photographer for over 20 years and opened his private photographic studio in Phoenix, Arizona several years ago. With degrees in photography, advertising and communications from Purdue University, Loren has served a number of prestigious clients, including Philip Morris, the City of Phoenix, and the Phoenix Art Museum. Anderson has been named one of the Top 50 Commercial Photographers of Arizona by Arizona Business Magazine.

In addition to his commercial work, Loren travels throughout the Southwest producing black and white hand colored images of local landscapes and still life. These images have been exhibited publicly and in private collections throughout the United States.

Recently, Loren returned from Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya where he documented everyday life of displaced Sudanese. This trip was a culmination of a two-year project where he photographed the Lost Boys of Sudan, currently resettled in Phoenix. To see a portion of the resulting photo exhibit, please click here.

Prior to the Lost Boys project, Loren photographed migrant farm workers in Palm Beach County, Florida. The subsequent photos became "The Forgotten People" exhibit shown in Palm Beach. To view part of the exhibit on this website, please click on Documentary.
